Green Bay, WI - Each year this conference draws over 250 people from throughout Wisconsin to focus on issues that affect low-income women and their families.

The conference brings together human service professionals, government officials, low-income advocates, educators, community leaders, and low-income women to talk about achieving successful solutions to poverty.

This unique networking environment supports the sharing of ideas, development of new strategies, greater integration of service provision, and a better understanding of how low-income women and helping organizations can work together toward self-sufficiency.

Is it the professionals? Sure can't be more than a token smattering of the real experts (the low-income women themselves) because $150 is a shitload of money.

I've only ever been to ONE conference on poor people that was organized and led by poor people, and that was years ago in Philly, organized by the Kensington Welfare Rights Union. Otherwise it's all professionals.
